SELF ASSESSMENT SERVICES

practical And tailored advice

Self Assessment service

If you operate your own business, you need to file a Self Assessment for the previous tax year, 6th April – 5th April, and pay any tax you owe to HMRC by the following 31st January.

Self Assessments can get a little complicated if you’re unsure of the process, but that’s where we can help. We can prepare and file your Self Assessment tax return for you – better yet, if you get in early, you can save yourself some money along with all the hassle that a last-minute January scramble can create.

Missing HMRC’s 31st January deadline will result in an automatic late filing penalty of £100, plus other charges based on the amount of tax you owe. Our Self Assessment prices increase as we get closer to the filing deadline, so the sooner you get us on the case, the better.

Not already using Crunch? No problem!

You can still get started on your self assessment by using our Self Assessment service.

How to request and pay for the self assessment:

Please note, you’ll need to ensure that your Crunch account is reconciled up to at least the 6th April otherwise we won’t be able to prepare your Self Assessment – you’ll also need to submit all the necessary supporting documentation, and pay for the service before we can begin.

All you need to do is complete the Self Assessment questionnaire in your Crunch account by navigating to the ‘Self Assessment’ menu:

All you need to do is complete the Self Assessment questionnaire in your Crunch account by navigating to the ‘Self Assessment’ menu:

From here, you’ll be able to start the questionnaire for the most recent tax year and a previous tax year if you need to:

You’ll then need to complete the questionnaire and provide us with any supporting documents along the way and once that’s completed, simply check the declaration at the bottom:

You’ll then receive one of the following on-screen prompts:

This prompt will generate if it requires a review by an accountant before we can offer a quote cost.

You’ll see the below once you submit it:

Once you’ve made payment, you’ll be able to see the ‘Status’ of your Self Assessment at any time, so feel free to check back from time to time to see how it’s progressing:

When produced, you’ll receive an email from us letting you know that you’re now able to review and approve the Self Assessment within your Crunch account before we go ahead with filing it.

If you have any questions at this stage, please feel free to email us about it; it’s really important that you’re satisfied with it before we file it.

When you’re happy with it, we’ll get cracking and file with HMRC for you. Once filed, you’ll see the following confirmation message in your account:

ur Self Assessment prices:
